We really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. Here are a three quick tips for success from our owners.
Yes, that's right, some dogs prefer their food in tiny little pieces. The kibble makers worked this out a while ago and made all their small dog breed kibbles particularly small.
Exercise is only one part of a great routine. Diet and knowing when to give treats is another key part.
We find that a small breakfast after a morning walk is a great way to ensure that your dog has built up an appetite but also isn't hungry throughout the day.
Then the key is to ensure that in the lead up to the evening meal, there are absolutely no treats! Many dogs (particularly smaller breeds) will happily skip two or three meals if they think they can get more treats.
If keen to share some of your own food (which can be a fantastic source of nutrition) with your dog, we'd recommend putting it at the bottom of the regular food in the dog bowl. This way your dog will still associate eating a good dinner with going to the bowl and eating well.
SOME LIKE IT HOT (well, just gently warmed)
Some dogs aren't used to food coming cold fresh from the fridge, so just by warming the food for 20s in the microwave, you can take the edge off the food and also release some of the aromas to get them excited for their dinner.
Or maybe you have some of your own tips? We'd love to hear them.
